The Forward Collision Mitigation System (FCM) with pedestrian detection uses both camera and laser radar to help prevent potential collisions with a vehicle or pedestrian, while Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) helps you maintain a safe distance by using radar to judge distances between you and the vehicle ahead.
In Series Hybrid Mode, the electric motors power the Outlander PHEV using engine-generated electricity. This provides an additional boost when more power is needed, including when driving uphill.
While in EV Drive Mode, the electric motors power the Outlander PHEV using electricity only with zero fuel consumption and zero CO2 tailpipe emissions. Enjoy a quiet, clean and powerful drive.

Level 1 – Anywhere, Anytime
The Outlander PHEV can be charged from any regular 120 volt outlet – perfect for overnight charging. The provided cordset comes with an 8-amp setting. But the cordset can also draw 12-amps when using a dedicated circuit to provide a faster charge.†

LEVEL 2
Level 2 – Take Charge Even Faster
Get charged up while you dine out. A 240 volt level 2 charger plug will provide you with an even quicker charge than a regular 120V AC outlet – around 3.5 hours. This is the level of most public charging stations. †

BATTERY CHARGE MODE
Charge on the go. By pressing the Battery Charge button, the engine-powered generator charges the main drive battery while you drive. Top up your battery while driving on the highway when gasoline is more efficient.

IT’S A SMARTPHONE.
The Mitsubishi Remote Control app allows you to control cabin cooling or heating, schedule charging during off-peak hours, check vehicle status and more from the convenience of your smartphone. You can also schedule charging through the display screen inside the vehicle.
